Bamboo scaffolding is the main method used in
Hong Kong to build skyscrapers. One 300
metre tall scaffold can be put up in one day only. It uses millions of bamboo
rods. Bamboo rods are much cheaper than iron rods, their
use is faster and they are easier an cheaper to transport. They are not less
safe that iron rods and they do much less damage if they fall.
