This restaurant serves some excellent "ramen" and other very good Japanese dishes. Service is very good and prompt. When we visited we started having a very good impression from the first second. It was full of Japanese and other Asian guests. This is a very good sign. Should you enter an Italian restaurant, for example, and see around not a single Italian or South European, then it would be a good idea to leave before ordering anything. Avoid this restaurant ! It is just a VERY overpriced salad bar. Nothing is remarkable in the food they offer, everything tastes the same and all tastes are bland and meaningless.

In the streets of Hong Kong anywhere you look you see a restaurant. There are tens of thousands of them, from the small stalls in the corners to the extremely expensive.  Here are some photos taken one evening walking in the streets and alleys of Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon. They serve almost only fish and seafood and in the bets Cantonese tradition, the fish is kept alive right before cooking it. This restaurant is located on the tip of Lantau Island, quite close to Tung Chung.  You will eat quite good seafood here. The ancient fishermen village is next to boat piers and next to a huge public housing development, one of those places that make Tokyo look underpopulated. The place looks surreal, especially in the hours of low tide, with the sea receding from the shore. In all fish and seafood restaurant in Hong Kong everything is keot alive until just before being cooked. It just cannot be fresher than this. Nice place for eating outdoor, in the summer. In case you are a bit hungry, this place serves food in the street any time of the day and the night. It has smokey pots all over, tons of food, sauces and condiments, and you can smell it all if you walk nearby. It is good for taking photos, but the food probably needs a very, very long digestion. There are countless restaurants in Hong Kong.  Only a few of them attract your eye and are worth a photo shot.  This one is in Wan Chai, on Hong Kong island. Every time I walk there I stop and have a look at the hanging ducks, the heated pots, and all the rest.  Hope you like it too and enjoy the view.
