In the streets of Hong Kong anywhere you look you see a restaurant. There are tens of thousands of them, from the small stalls in the corners to the extremely expensive.  Here are some photos taken one evening walking in the streets and alleys of Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon. They serve almost only fish and seafood and in the bets Cantonese tradition, the fish is kept alive right before cooking it. This restaurant is located on the tip of Lantau Island, quite close to Tung Chung.  You will eat quite good seafood here. The ancient fishermen village is next to boat piers and next to a huge public housing development, one of those places that make Tokyo look underpopulated. The place looks surreal, especially in the hours of low tide, with the sea receding from the shore. In all fish and seafood restaurant in Hong Kong everything is keot alive until just before being cooked. It just cannot be fresher than this. Nice place for eating outdoor, in the summer. The fishermen village next to the public housing blocks. During low tide fishing boats remain stranded on the sand. The place looks strange and a bit like out-of-this-world. T...
