Hong Kong Strange Food. The Dried Monk Fish. Tai O Village

Image
Tao O is a small village in the southern tip of Lantau Island, Hong Kong. In the street markets here, more than in any other part of Hong Kong, you can find the strangest sea creatures and fish sold. These sun dried monk fish looked like animals from another planet. I have no idea how to use them in the kitchen! Please see also my YouTube channel:  https://www.youtube.com/user/settime2588 Tai O (Chinese: 大澳) is a fishing town, partly located on an island of the same name, on the western side of Lantau Island in Hong Kong. Smart ForFour Tuned Brabus. seen in Hong Kong

Image
This is a unique pieces of a ForFour Smart car tuned by Brabus, or at least tuned with some Brabus wheels and accessories. As far as I know, no Brabus version of the first generation ForFour has even been sold by Smart - Mercedes. So this should be a private endeavour by the owner. The engine is likely to be original not powered up at all.

Surreal in Lantau. Wah Tao Restaurant. Hong Kong. Quite good food.

Image
This restaurant is located on the tip of Lantau Island, quite close to Tung Chung.  You will eat quite good seafood here. The ancient fishermen village is next to boat piers and next to a huge public housing development, one of those places that make Tokyo look underpopulated. The place looks surreal, especially in the hours of low tide, with the sea receding from the shore. Please see my collection of videos on my YouTube channel:  http://www.youtube.com/user/settime2588/videos Here you can chose the live seafood that you will eat in your dish. In all fish and seafood restaurant in Hong Kong everything is keot alive until just before being cooked. It just cannot be fresher than this. Nice place for eating outdoor, in the summer. The fishermen village next to the public housing blocks. During low tide fishing boats remain stranded on the sand. The place looks strange and a bit like out-of-this-world. T...
