Ugliest Car of 2012 (and Some Nicer Ones). Volkswagen Scirocco Looking Like a Blue Frog



The title of ugliest car of the year 2012 is easily won by this poor and innocent Volkswagen Scirocco transformed into a blue frog with green legs. It was spotted in Hong Kong and it was a painful experience to see a once pretty car reduced in such a state.

 


This other Scirocco is instead bright green, and looks much better. It was seen in Nathan Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Please note the licence plate with the quadruple "4". The number four is supposed to be very unlucky in Chinese numerology, but the owner does not seem to care.



This Beetle is instead very nice to view. I saw it in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.

This airport is always crowded, noisy and dirty. The floors and ceilings seem to be made up of materials from the 1950s’ even though the Terminal 1 started operations in the 1990s’. Food served in the restaurant is terrible, of very expensive, or both. This is the only airport I have heard of where from time to time expensive items disappear from the checked bags of arriving passengers. On the positive side its architecture is a masterp iece of the “Postmodern” period. Its main designer was Ettore Sottsass. If you get out of the crowd, rest your eyes, and look at the lines of the building you smile at their beauty.
