Please see also my YouTube channel:  https://www.youtube.com/user/settime2588 The DeLorean DMC-12 (commonly referred to simply as the DeLorean as it was the only model ever produced by the company) is a sports car manufactured by John DeLorean's DeLorean Motor Company for the American market from 1981–83. The car features gull-wing doors and an innovative fiberglass chassis and underbody structure, along with a brushed stainless steel body. The car became widely known and iconic for its appearance and was modified as a time machine in the Back to the Future film trilogy. HYSTORY The first prototype appeared in October 1976. London Supercars. BMW M4 Seen in London Close to Liberty Department Store

Image
Nice sighting yesterday night in London. This shiny M4 was parked just behind Liberty, close to Regent Street. Please see also my YouTube channel:  https://www.youtube.com/user/settime2588 On September 25, 2013, BMW released technical specifications of the M4 powered by a M-tuned S55B30 engine, although it is a 3.0 L inline engine. BMW states that it is completely different to the N55 engine seen in other BMW 35i models, this engine has been built specifically for the New M4/M3, displacing 3.0 L and redlining at 7,500 rpm. The rev limiter coming in at 7,600rpm. The engine uses two mono-scroll turbochargers. The power is rated at 425 hp while torque will be 550 N·m. The weight of the 6 speed manual M4 is 1,613 kg, with the M-DCT some 40 kg heavier. Both 6-speed manual and 7-speed M-DCT transmissions are available. The 7-speed M-DCT transmission accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The 6-speed manual transmission does 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds.

Porsche Boxster Spyder Spotted in Soho, London

Image
The Boxster Spyder is the most extreme version of Porsche’s 981 Boxster. It is lighter by 30kg, longer by ten millimetres and lower by 11mm when compared with a Boxster GTS. The front end is more aggressive in its design and there are distinctive streamlined humps behind the rollover hoops (a tribute to the 718 Spyder of the 1960s). Please see also my YouTube channel:  https://www.youtube.com/user/settime2588 The Spyder’s 3.8-litre engine is a slightly detuned version of the one found in the new Cayman GT4. Power is 45 HP up on a Boxster GTS. The steering rack is slightly quicker. This white one was seen near Soho Square in London, June 2016.

Bmw 3.0 CSL Hommage R Concept Seen at

Image
This is the Bmw 3.0 CSL Hommage R Concept car first unveiled by BMW in 2015 at Pebble Beach. In 1975, BMW Motorsport began racing in the United States. They used a car called 3.0 CSL, and won at Laguna Seca and the 12 Hours of Sebring. That white, liveried CSL ended up winning the manufacturers’ championship in its first year. To mark 40 years since that achievement, BMW has built this Hommage racing concept to celebrate.  It’s been built of lightweight materials, including lot of carbon fibre. Up front, BMW tells us this has the broadest and lowest face of any model in the family. There are laser lights and LED tech, a huge carbon fibre front splitter, and the mother of all kidney grilles. Inside, it’s spartan, race-ready and built almost completely of carbon fibre. The driver’s display is actually integrated through the visor of the driver’s helmet as a HUD. Everything else is on the steering wheel, and while there is no mention made of a powertrai

Like the Ferrari FF it replaces, the GTC4Lusso is a 3-door shooting-brake with four-wheel drive, and is powered by a front-mid mounted 6.3-litre V12. The GTC4Lusso's 6,262 cc Ferrari F140 65° V12 engine produces 681 HP at 8,000 rpm thanks in part to a compression ratio raised to 13.5:1. Maximum torque is 697 Nm at 5,750 rpm. Ferrari claims a top speed of 345 km/h (214 mph), unchanged from the FF. The car uses an improved version (dubbed 4RM Evo) of Ferrari's patented four-wheel drive syst

Turin, Italy. Parco del Valentino Car Show. Ferrari F12 TDF (Tour de France)

Image
This F12 in bright yellow is a special series of the F12 produced in 799 cars only.  Please see also my YouTube channel:  https://www.youtube.com/user/settime2588 The F12tdf’s performance is assured by the 769 hp, naturally-aspirated V12 derived directly from the F12berlinetta’s multi-award-winning engine. The car’s exhilarating dynamic behaviour, specifically its lateral acceleration in corners, is due to an 8% increase in the ratio of the front tyres compared to the rear ones. The car’s natural tendency to oversteer as a result of the change in tyre sizes is compensated for by the innovative rear-wheel steering system – known as the Virtual Short Wheelbase, which is integrated with the other vehicle dynamic control systems – that guarantees the steering wheel response times and turn-in of a competition car while increasing stability at high speed.

Turin Parco del Valentino Car Show. Pagani Huayra Full Carbon

Image
A full carbon Huayra is always a pleasure to the eyes. This one with a Saudi Arabia plate was on show at the Salone dell' Automobile ar Parco del Valentino, Turin. Please see also my YouTube channel:  https://www.youtube.com/user/settime2588 The Huayra uses a twin-turbo, V12 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG specially for the Huayra. The Huayra's 6.0-litre engine, the M158, produces 730 HP and 1,100 N·m of torque. Its top speed is about 383 km/h. The Pagani Huayra is different from its predecessor in that it incorporates active aerodynamics. It is capable of changing the height of the front from the ground and independently operating four flaps placed at the rear and front of the car. The behavior of the flaps is managed by a dedicated control unit that is fed information from systems such as the ABS and ECU, which pass on information about the car's speed, yaw rate, lateral acceleration, steering angle and throttle position. This is intended to achieve

Classic Fiat Abarth 1000 Bialbero. Spotted at Gran Premio Parco del Valentino. Turin, Italy

Image
This is a 1960 car using a 1000 cc engine with around 91 HP of power. Its design is beautiful. The car’s engine was a derivative of one found in the Fiat 600, but with larger cylinders. There was also a special DOHC head with an increased compression ratio. Along with an improved intake and exhaust the 1000 Biabero could produce 91 HP, almost 100 HP per liter. The 1000 Biabero first appeared at the 1961 Turin Motor Show. It was built together with the 700 Biabero which used the same chassis and engine design. Only the 1000 used disk brakes. 1961 was a successful season for these coupes and 1000 the latter did very well in the 1000cc class which it won almost always. Ferrari Testarossa and F512M Testarossa Spotted at Gran Premio del Valentino, Turin, Italy

Image
The Ferrari Testarossa is a 30 year old design, but to me it looks modern and could easily be on the marked today. These two are the first and the last series of the car, the "Testarossa" and the F512M A video with the full parade of the supercars seen at this event is  here  - Hope you will like it. Please see also my YouTube channel:  https://www.youtube.com/user/settime2588 The Ferrari Testarossa (Type F110) is a 12-cylinder mid-engine sports car manufactured by Ferrari, which went into production in 1984 as the successor to the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer. The Pininfarina-designed car was originally produced from 1984 to 1991, with two model revisions following the ending of Testarossa production and the introduction of the 512 TR and F512 M which were produced from 1992 to 1996. Almost 10,000 Testarossas, 512 TRs, and F512 Ms were produced, making it one of the most-produced Ferrari models, despite its high price and exotic design. The Testaros
