Crocche and Panelle, Food from Sicily, Italy, Tasted in London A video of Crocche and Panelle cooked in London is on my YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMhyiQHgqdk Panelle are Sicilian fritters made from chickpea flour and other ingredients. They are a popular street food in Palermo and are often eaten between slices of bread or on a roll, like a sandwich. Panelle are believed to be of Arab origin.  Crocchè (French croquettes) are a dish of Napolitan and Sicilian origin, made from mashed potato and egg, which is covered in bread crumbs and fried. Both are typically a Southern Italian street food, ubiquitous at friggitorie, the Italian equivalent of "fish and chips".

The Tea Terrace, House of Fraser, Oxford Street, London

Image
The Tea Terrace is situated on the top floor of the busy department store House of Fraser in Oxford Street,   London.   The atmosphere in the tea room is very relaxing and really pretty with the pastel blue and pink armchairs and sofas.   It definitely manages to provide a nice and quiet getaway away from the often manic shopping street. The tea and the cake won’t cost you an arm and a leg and you can enjoy a very pleasant teatime. The café offers more extravagant choices of tea and cake. For our visit we ordered the organic jasmine and Egyptian mint teas, and went for an orange and lavender dairy free cake which was melting in the mouth. The Afternoon tea and the prosecco options are also available if you have the appetite for it! The tearoom is also very family friendly. It is situated next to the children’s clothes section and the nearby toilets have the baby changing facilities. If you wish to have your tea in the glamorous flower carriage on the Terra

La Cucina, Holbergs Plass, Oslo, Norway. Restaurant Review

Image
La Cucina, Holbergs Plass, Oslo This is the place where we decided to go for a nice seafood risotto, which was absolutely lovely. In fact, no place in Oslo where they serve seafood did disappoint. The freshness of seafood in this capital city is unbelievable. Any seafood or fish dishes are likely to win your heart in Oslo, no matter what type of restaurant you are trying them in, be it Italian, Spanish etc. The restaurant boasted with super friendly staff and the unusual interior. The Italian paintings’ reproductions were hanging on the ceiling for the guests to be discovered while they dine. Adding to this spectacle was a group of colourful lamps, creating a touch of a salon atmosphere. The service was speedy with no long waits. You could call this place child friendly too, as the waiters were extremely nice with children. The only drawback there was no changing table in the toilets. A meal in the capital will cost you an arm and a leg though. Like other re
