The Hong Kong government keeps on talking about this city being an "international finance centre", "Asia's world city" and lot of other things. The reality is that in Hong Kong today not even Civil Servants and Police Stations are able to write a correct sentence in English. A short movie is here:  http://youtu.be/f6OkYnrhYxI

This airport is always crowded, noisy and dirty. The floors and ceilings seem to be made up of materials from the 1950s’ even though the Terminal 1 started operations in the 1990s’. Food served in the restaurant is terrible, of very expensive, or both. This is the only airport I have heard of where from time to time expensive items disappear from the checked bags of arriving passengers. On the positive side its architecture is a masterp iece of the “Postmodern” period. Its main designer was Ettore Sottsass. If you get out of the crowd, rest your eyes, and look at the lines of the building you smile at their beauty. The movie Blade Runner was released 30 years ago this month. To celebrate here are the photos of a blackboard I saw in a wine bar close to the city of Alba, in Italy.  Almost all the local economy of this region is based on growing grapes and making wine. The writing in Italian is a parody of the famous sentence from the movie "I have seen things that you humans cannot even imagine....". It says: "In my life I have seen things that you, non-drinkers, cannot even imagine!!!" .   And here are some more photos from the wonderful little town of La Morra, near Alba, Italy, where this blackboard was seen.
