Ritz Carlton Hong Kong. The Restaurant on 102nd Floor. La Tosca

I have recently had dinner at La Tosca Restaurant in Hong Kong. It is located on the 102nd floor of the International Commerce Centre and inside the Ritz Carton HotelThe food was quite fine but not exceptional, the bill was instead hugely overpriced.

Please see my collection of videos on my YouTube channel:

I had a close look to the furniture of the place. It looks like we have now gone full circle back to Postmodernism. In the early 20th century we had modernism, then in 1970s Mendini and Ettore Sottsass created the new style of Postmodernism. It lasted until the early 1990s, when you could still see post-modern looking hotel lobbies and airport waiting rooms being built.

Then all of a sudden minimalism was the vogue, a sort of return to modernism through Japanese style. Now you can see around decorations and furniture that would please Sottsass and Mendini.
