Hong Kong 2014. Occupy Hong Kong, Street Occupation and Demonstrations for Democracy

Hong Kong is being squashed and brought to obedience by the government of Beijing. All the promises of independence and democracy made by China during the negotiations for the future of Hong Kong in the 1980s' are being disrespected. I was in Hong Kong during the first phase of the popular demonstrations for democracy and freedom back in 2014. Since I have a large number of photos from those days in the archives, I thought they may stay better in a public place like a blog. I am going to publish all of them on this blog in the next days and weeks.

These are the tents set up in front of the Central Government Offices in Hong Kong were demonstrators slept for weeks
