Supercars of Hong Kong. McLaren MP4-12C Bronze Colour Spotted in Central

The McLaren MP4-12C remains a beautiful car and, in my humble opinion, she looks much better than her successors like the 650S. This bronze one was seen in Central Hong Kong close to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

The MP4-12C features a carbon fibre composite chassis, and is powered by a mid-mounted McLaren M838T 3.8-litre V8, twin-turbo engine developing approximately 592 hp (441 kW) and around 601 N·m of torque. The car makes use of Formula 1-sourced technologies such as "brake steer", where the inside rear wheel is braked during fast cornering to reduce understeer. Power is transmitted to the wheels through a seven-speed seamless shift dual-clutch gearbox.

This airport is always crowded, noisy and dirty. The floors and ceilings seem to be made up of materials from the 1950s’ even though the Terminal 1 started operations in the 1990s’. Food served in the restaurant is terrible, of very expensive, or both. This is the only airport I have heard of where from time to time expensive items disappear from the checked bags of arriving passengers. On the positive side its architecture is a masterp iece of the “Postmodern” period. Its main designer was Ettore Sottsass. If you get out of the crowd, rest your eyes, and look at the lines of the building you smile at their beauty.
